Allergic dermatitis and hepatic edema

On the first visit, the patient had edema and rashes itchiness which affected his sleep.

The reasons for edema could be heart failure, kidney diseases, thyroid/ liver diseases, and malnutrition. After referencing his result of blood test and medical history, we consider it's hepatic edema.

To balance his liver function through acupuncture, meanwhile, we used prescription based on invigorating spleen for elimination dampness.

Less than one month, he felt no more itchiness so he could sleep well and his feet were back to normal size.

To treat edema, we don't replace the function of any related organs or force those organs to diuresis. Instead, we find out the main reason to strengthen it and assist related organ to resume the function. This is the idea of TCM ( Traditional Chinese Medicine).
