Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for infertility / Polycystic ovarian syndrome / PCOS

The patient had been diagnosed as Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) for 6 years, followed with insomnia and gastrointestinal symptoms.

Since May 2018 she came clinic for acupuncture and herbal medicine treatment regularly until July. In August, she came back clinic not only solved insomnia and gastrointestinal problems but also brought this blessing result, confirmed pregnant for 6 weeks already.

PCOS is the most common female endocrine disease-causing by complex endocrine and metabolic abnormalities, shown as chronic ovulation disorders or loss, and high androgens. In clinical manifestations, there are irregular menstruation cycles, infertility, along with hairy or acne symptoms.

The reasons for PCOS are still controversial as two dimensions, theory of heredity or non-gene related. The modern therapeutic method is medicine and operation.
