Acupuncture and herb decoction for facial & neck acne

This patient who had a one-year history of facial acne had tried many ways of treatment but the situation was still on and off. Except for symptoms of derma, she also had dysmenorrhea with few flows of blood, severely sensitive to cold temperature and night sweat.

In TCM theory, this patient we considered “upper heat and lower cold” which means the heat stuck on upper jiao ( ex. head, face) and cold stuck in lower jiao ( ex. abdomen, uterus, ovary). What we did is remove her dampness heat and adjust her blood flow toward the lower part of the body, so the acne (heat type) disappeared and the dysmenorrhea was gone since the heat moving downward warm up the uterus so the blood flow was smooth.

In one month, with her cooperation of the diet list we gave, the result of treatment showed that not only the acne but the menstruation situation has a nice improvement.
